VSTF Search Warrant Results in Arrests and Recovery of Drugs and Weapons

POSTED ON: March 12, 2024

VSTF has been actively investigating two individuals for drug sales and firearm possession. As part of the investigation, a search warrant was obtained for both of their residences. SWAT served the warrants at locations on the 100 block of Cross St. and the 100 block of Columbine St.

At the Cross St. residence, officers recovered an AK-47, a submachine gun, a 9mm S&W handgun, a .45 1911 handgun, a Glock switch, body armor.

Assisting in the search was K9 Rex, who quickly got to work. Using his training and keen sense of smell, Rex located 2.11 ounces of cocaine that had been concealed inside the home.

At the Columbine St. residence, officers located a loaded Glock 19, ammunition, 524 Xanax bars, and gang indicia. Both were arrested and lodged at Monterey County Jail on multiple felony charges.

This operation is another step forward in keeping our communities safe from illegal firearms and dangerous drugs.
