SPD'S Community Outreach & Engagement Services, Programs & Events

The Salinas Police Department (SPD) holds Community Outreach and Engagement as a vital part of our day-to-day operations. We pride ourselves on innovative and meaningful commUNITY programs and involvement that bridge the gap between residents, the public we serve, and the department.

SPD’s community engagement activities are coordinated through Salinas Police Outreach Team (SPOT). SPOT exists to build and foster positive police-community relations through communications, programs, partnerships, and volunteer opportunities. We believe that by creating strong relationships and working together, our residents and law enforcement officers can establish a better foundation of trust, service, youth prevention programs, and proactively address public safety concerns.
