Salinas Police Identify Suspect in 2021 Murder

Salinas, CA – On June 26, 2021, at about 9:40 PM, Salinas Police responded to the 1500 block of Tuscany Way on a report of a victim of a shooting. On arrival, they located Christian Alvarez (23) suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital. However, he died as a result of his injuries.

Throughout the course of this investigation, detectives have identified Cesar Alejandro Cisneros of Salinas as the suspect in this case, and there is a warrant for his arrest on this incident. Detectives also have obtained information indicating Cisneros may have fled to Mexico immediately after the incident, and his whereabouts are unknown. Though he has been identified as a suspect, this is still an active investigation.
