Booths are a great way to share resources, highlight programs, and connect directly with families across Salinas. If your organization would like to be part of this year’s event, simply complete the registration form located directly below the flyers on this page. We look forward to partnering with you to make National Night Out a vibrant, welcoming, and community‑centered evening!
For SPD, National Night Out is an opportunity to connect with the community in a relaxed, positive environment. Officers meet neighbors, answer questions, share safety information, and build relationships that support long‑term public safety. The event also helps youth and families get to know the department, learn about career paths in law enforcement, and see the human side of policing.
Each year, SPD partners with local organizations, businesses, and community groups to host activities such as:
Neighborhood block parties and community gatherings
Food trucks, BBQs, and family‑friendly refreshments
Safety demonstrations and educational booths
Youth activities, games, and interactive displays
SPD equipment exhibits, including patrol vehicles and specialty units
These events are designed to be welcoming, fun, and informative — a chance for families to enjoy the evening while strengthening connections with the officers who serve them.
